Volunteer Term and conditions
Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before submitting your application to volunteer with our organization for international missions. By applying, you agree to be bound by these terms:
1. General Commitment
Volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, professional, and culturally sensitive manner at all times during the mission.
Participation is voluntary and unpaid. Volunteers are not considered employees or contractors of the organization.
2. Eligibility
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of departure unless otherwise specified.
Volunteers must possess a valid passport and obtain any necessary visas prior to departure.
3. Health and Insurance
All volunteers are required to have valid international health insurance that covers medical treatment, hospitalization, and emergency evacuation.
Volunteers must also carry appropriate malpractice/professional liability insurance, especially when engaging in healthcare, legal, or other professional services.
The organization is not responsible for any costs associated with illness, injury, or liability incurred during the mission.
In case of complications, AEOS can participate maximally for further procedures with 300€ per case. Maximus is 1000€ for one mission.
4. Safety and Risk
Volunteering abroad may involve travel to areas with limited infrastructure or increased health and safety risks.
Volunteers agree to participate at their own risk and will not hold the organization liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during their service.
5. Conduct and Compliance
Volunteers must comply with all local laws and regulations of the host country.
Any form of misconduct, including harassment, discrimination, or violation of host country laws, may result in immediate dismissal from the mission.
6. Confidentiality and Privacy
Volunteers may be exposed to sensitive or personal information. They are expected to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of individuals and communities served.
7. Cancellation and Termination
The organization reserves the right to cancel or alter mission plans at any time due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, political instability, or health risks.
The organization may terminate a volunteer’s participation at its discretion for violations of these terms or for behavior deemed detrimental to the mission or community.
8. Use of Image and Testimony
By participating, volunteers grant the organization permission to use photos, videos, or written testimonies for promotional or reporting purposes unless they explicitly opt out in writing.
