AEOS Congress 2026 in Hamburg: Scientific Programme Announced and Registration Open
The Arab-European Ophthalmological Society (AEOS e.V.) is pleased to unveil the scientific programme for its 2026 Congress, taking place on 6 June 2026 at the Radisson Blu in Hamburg.
Registration is now open for a full day of scientific exchange, hands-on training, and international collaboration. The congress will welcome ophthalmologists, surgeons, researchers, and young innovators from across Europe and the Middle East.
A Programme Across Ophthalmic Specialties
The scientific programme features comprehensive sessions in Cornea, Refractive Surgery, Cataract, Glaucoma, Retina, Oculoplastics, and Multidisciplinary Ophthalmology.
Bringing these specialties together will give participants opportunities to explore developments in their own fields and engage with perspectives from across ophthalmic practice.
The AEOS Forum on International Collaboration will provide a dedicated setting for cross-border dialogue, reflecting the society’s commitment to strengthening connections between Europe and the Arab world.
Practical Training and Opportunities for Young Ophthalmologists
Alongside the scientific sessions, hands-on MIGS and Refractive Lenticule Extraction Workshops will place practical learning at the heart of the congress experience.
A dedicated Young Ophthalmologists Session will also create space for emerging colleagues to contribute to the programme, share their work, and connect with the wider professional community.
Together, these activities support an educational approach that values both specialist expertise and the development of the next generation.
Celebrating Achievement and Community
The programme also includes an Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner, offering colleagues an opportunity to celebrate professional contributions and continue conversations beyond the scientific sessions.
These shared moments are an important part of the congress: a chance to strengthen relationships and recognise the people who contribute to ophthalmic education and practice.
