Take Your First Steps in Cataract Surgery: AEOS Wetlab in Mülheim
The Arab-European Ophthalmological Society (AEOS) invites colleagues beginning their cataract surgery training to a Cataract Wetlab on 25 July 2026 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany.
With guidance from Inas Elsheikh, FEBO, the workshop offers an opportunity to explore essential techniques through practical learning and professional mentorship.
Building a Foundation in Cataract Surgery
The wetlab will focus on three introductory areas:
-
First steps in cataract surgery
-
Rhexis techniques
-

The session is designed to help participants connect their theoretical knowledge with practical skills in a training environment. Guided practice offers space to ask questions, discuss techniques, and learn from an experienced mentor.
Learning with Expert Guidance
Inas Elsheikh will guide participants through the workshop, supporting colleagues as they begin developing their surgical skills.
Through this practical educational format, AEOS continues its commitment to supporting professional development and sharing expertise within the ophthalmic community.
