AEOS Research Initiative: Showcasing the Next Generation of Ophthalmologists in Hamburg
The Arab-European Ophthalmological Society (AEOS) is proud to support early-career ophthalmologists through the AEOS Research Initiative. At the upcoming AEOS Congress in Hamburg, young colleagues will have the opportunity to present their recent congress contributions and share their work with an expert audience.
The initiative reflects AEOS’s commitment to academic growth, innovation, and collaboration—giving emerging researchers a platform to contribute to the wider scientific conversation.
A Platform for Research and Exchange
Presenting research is an important step in professional development. It creates opportunities to explain findings, discuss ideas with colleagues, and engage with perspectives beyond one’s own institution.
Through this session, AEOS aims to bring attention to the work of young ophthalmologists while encouraging discussion between early-career researchers and experienced specialists.
Colleagues joining the session include:
-
Dr. Karim Lehiani
-
Dr. med. Hosni Al Zoubi
-
Khalil El Jawhari, MD
-
Rachid Kourukmas
-
Karim Al-Ghazzawi
-
Obeda Kailani
-
Mohamed Elalfy
Recognising Outstanding Work
A €500 prize will be awarded for the best presentation, recognising an outstanding contribution to the session.
Voting will be conducted by the congress audience together with the commission, allowing attendees to take an active role in celebrating the work presented.
With Thanks to the Session Organiser
AEOS extends special thanks to Priv. Doz. Dr. Alaa Din Abdin, FEBO, FICO, MRCSEd, for organising this session with us.
